Velocity X1 Pro
The ultralight FPV racer that rewrites what sub-100g means. Six-cell power, AI-tuned flight dynamics, and 4K onboard video in a frame you can hold in one hand.
The Velocity X1 Pro is our most popular FPV racing drone for a reason. It delivers genuine 120 mph top speed, real-world 4K footage, and AI-assisted PID tuning that adapts to your flying style — all in a package light enough to legally fly in many countries without registration.

What Makes the Velocity X1 Pro Different
Most sub-100g FPV drones make significant compromises. They use lighter but weaker frames, or they sacrifice video quality for weight savings. The Velocity X1 Pro takes a different approach: every component has been chosen to achieve the lowest possible weight without compromising the things that matter most — power delivery, video feed quality, and structural durability during crashes.
The 3K carbon fibre true-X frame weighs just 42g but has survived repeated high-speed impacts in our testing. The 3mm arm thickness — unusual at this weight class — gives the frame rigidity that translates directly into tighter cornering and more predictable handling at speed.
AI-Assisted PID Tuning
The Velocity X1 Pro runs Betaflight 4.5 with our proprietary AI PID overlay. On first flight, the drone records your control inputs and flight dynamics across 50 manoeuvres. Within three to four flight sessions, it has built a profile of your flying style and automatically adjusts PID values — particularly D-term and I-term — to reduce oscillation on your specific input patterns.
The result is a drone that genuinely improves the longer you fly it. Pilots who have tested both the default tune and the AI-tuned profile report noticeably smoother video and more consistent lap times after two hours of flight time.
Obstacle Avoidance
The X1 Pro is a racing platform — it does not include multi-directional obstacle avoidance sensors, which would add weight incompatible with the performance goals. It does include optical flow for stable hover at low speeds, and the flight controller will apply emergency deceleration if airspeed drops suddenly (a proxy for impact detection). For pilots flying in controlled racing environments, this is the correct trade-off.
Subject Tracking
Through the companion app, the X1 Pro supports subject lock mode: the onboard camera can be instructed to maintain a tracking rectangle around a moving subject during lower-speed flight. This is primarily useful for follow-cam footage at events rather than active racing. Frame rate drops to 1080p 60fps during active tracking to maintain processing headroom.
Who Is This For?
The Velocity X1 Pro is designed for intermediate to advanced FPV pilots who want to compete or push their limits. If you are completely new to FPV, we recommend starting with the Micro Whoop 3" to build muscle memory before stepping up. If you have 10+ hours of FPV stick time and want a race-ready machine, the X1 Pro is the correct choice.
Setup Guide
Out of the box, the X1 Pro is BNF — Bind and Fly. You will need a compatible ExpressLRS or ELRS-capable controller, and a set of DJI O3-compatible goggles. Binding takes approximately five minutes via the Betaflight configurator. Our team is available by live chat to walk you through the initial setup on your specific controller model.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to register the Velocity X1 Pro?
At 98g without battery, the X1 Pro falls below the 250g registration threshold in the US (FAA), UK (CAA), and most EU countries. With battery (typically 130–145g depending on pack chosen), it may exceed 250g. We recommend checking your local authority's rules based on all-up weight.
Which goggles are compatible?
The X1 Pro ships with the DJI O3 Air Unit fitted. Compatible goggles include DJI Goggles 2, DJI Goggles 3, and the DJI Goggles Integra. It is not compatible with analog video systems unless you replace the air unit.
Can I use a different flight controller firmware?
Yes. The flight controller is Betaflight-compatible and can also run Emuflight. We only officially support and provide tuning assistance for Betaflight 4.4+ configurations.
What is the warranty?
The Velocity X1 Pro carries a 12-month manufacturer warranty covering component defects. Crash damage and water damage are not covered. We stock all replacement parts including motors, arms, and ESC stacks.
